The Pella girls tennis team defeated Boone earlier today in the state quarterfinals by a 5-1 score. Abby Hietbrink won a 3rd set tiebreaker in comeback fashion after dropping the first game. Reagan DeJong, Addi Namminga, Ellie Smock, and Macy Westerkamp each won to advance the Dutch. Pella remains undefeated in head-to-head duals this fall. The Dutch are back in the final four of Class 1A girls tennis with the win, set to take on #3 seed Decorah. Due to today’s rain, the 1A semifinals and finals/3rd place will be played all on Tuesday at Pella High School. The Vikings swept Central DeWitt on Monday in their quarterfinals matchup.
