A local non-profit organization is preparing to help others stay warm during the upcoming cold months and with their upcoming health insurance plans.
Assistant Director of Crossroads of Pella Chris Allen says the annual Coffee and Coats drive up will be held on Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at their new, temporary location at 1554 Broadway Street. Crossroads of Pella is accepting new or gently used winter wear of all kinds to ensure they have plenty available for anyone needing coats, hats, gloves, snow boots, or scarves. Those who make a donation will receive a free cup of Iris Coffee that morning.
The Senior Health Insurance Information Program begins working with seniors and their Medicare prescription plans on Wednesday as well, according to Crossroads Director Jim Hibma. To ask about appointments, contact Crossroads of Pella at 641-628-1212.
