The PCM boys cross country team won the Heart of Iowa Conference meet held in Monroe on Monday as the girls team finished second. 

The Mustang boys took first place with 58 team points edging out second place Nevada by one point. Kash Fischer was the top finisher on the boys side finishing sixth with a time of 17:58.20 while Brendon Lahart finished eighth with a time of 18:05.85. Two other Mustangs were in the top 15 as Owen Osterhaus finished 11th and Coby DeRaad finished 12th.

The #4 ranked PCM girls placed second with a team score of 45. Abi Teeter was the top finisher for the Mustang girls placing second overall with a time of 20:54.37. Two other PCM girls finished in the top ten as Ali Hilsabeck placed seventh with a time of 21:27.56 and Lila Milani placed ninth with a time of 21:42.90. The PCM cross country teams will next compete next Thursday at their state qualifier meet.
