The Knoxville Preservation Foundation is breathing new life into historic buildings in Knoxville.
The Preservation Foundation is a new non-profit organization that was established to restore and preserve historic structures and beautify spaces in Knoxville. The organization has a board made up of members Dylan Morse, Mikole Sesker, and Annie Leonard, and they are currently working at restoring a property located at 101 W Robinson Street, commonly known as the Stults house. The foundation is also led by general contractor Scott Chambers. The Knoxville Preservation Foundation is hoping to restore properties or structures that have meaningful or historical value in the community that may have been neglected. Morse tells KNIA/KRLS that he hopes people see their work as meaningful projects in the community.
“It’s just been fantastic. We are really excited. We have a lot of ideas, we have a lot of potential projects in front of us that we are hopeful about. If they end up coming to fruition we’re excited to announce to people that might be following. It’s going to be a really cool organization over time and has the potential to do big things and hopefully folks find they are meaningful things for the community.”
