The Pella Community Foundation held a Nonprofit Showcase earlier this week.

New President of the Pella Community Foundation Mark Wiskus says the free public event celebrated the work of local nonprofit organizations supported by the foundation at the Pella Opera House. He says it was an opportunity for community members to connect with local nonprofits, learn about their missions and discover ways to support, volunteer or get involved. Participating organizations have received grants from the Pella Community Foundation in recent years, and the showcase allows them to share how their projects are making a difference in the lives of people throughout the area.

“This showcase is a chance for the community to see the real impact of their support,” said Mark Wiskus, president of the Pella Community Foundation. “It’s not just about writing a check — it’s about connecting with the people and programs that make Pella a better place. The foundation is proud to help donors support a wide range of causes through a thoughtful and effective grantmaking process.”
