It is race day for Knoxville Runner Isaac Rankin as he gets set for his final cross country event at a Knoxville Panther. Rankin is set to start his 4th career State Meet in Fort Dodge and he is looking to achieve better than than season, which was an all-state designation and 11th place overall in class 3A. Rankin is aware that this is his final high school cross country race and hopes that today is a success.

Rankin: “Every year it’s me and Coach Splavec. It’ll be interesting to see how I’ve changed over the years. I just want to go out with a bag and do the best I can, and we’ll see how it goes.”

Rankin was able to qualify last Wednesday through the Pella qualifier placing 5th overall. The class 3A race is scheduled to start today at 2:45, listen for updates on KNIA/KRLS and follow results on kniakrls.com
