
A 20-year-old Newton man facing three felony charges for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a minor was given three suspended prison terms this week, after negotiating guilty pleas to reduced charges. Francisco Sordo Guerrero pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated lascivious conduct with a minor, which are aggravated misdemeanors. He was originally arrested on a class B felony charge of sexual exploitation of a minor, a class C felony 3rd degree sexual abuse charge, and a class D felony offense of purchasing or possessing a depiction of a minor in a sex act.
According to the court filed criminal complaint, there is cellphone video confirming the allegations against Sordo Guerrero. The teenage victim told Newton Police her sexual activity with Sordo Guerrero went on for 18 months.
District Court Judge Charles Sinnard issued the Newton man three suspended two-year prison terms, two years of probation, and three suspended $855 fines. A five-year No Contact Order on behalf of the victim, has also been imposed against Sordo Guerrero.
