The PCM girls and boys basketball teams defeated Perry on the road Tuesday night in Heart of Iowa Conference matchups.

The Mustang girls led 23-16 at halftime but pulled away in the second half and held the Jayettes to just nine points in the half to secure a 56-25 win. Libby Winters led the team in scoring with 19 points while Tori Lindsay had 13 and Kyra Naeve had 12. The PCM girls improve to 5-1 on the season. 

The Mustang boys also picked up a dominant win in their contest as they led 34-19 at the half and then outscored the Bluejays 40-16 in the second half to secure a 74-35 win. Chase Wagaman was the leading scorer for the Mustang boys with 16 points while Byrson Karr had 12 and Gavin Steenhoek had 11. Eleven different Mustangs entered the scoring column in the contest. The PCM boys improve to 3-2 on the season.

The PCM boys and girls basketball teams will be back in action on Friday at Greene County.
