
The Pella Girls Wrestling Team was victorious for a second consecutive season at the Norwalk Invitational held Tuesday. Pella finished with five individual champions, including Isabella Smith (115), Adelyn Smith (130), Julianna Maldonado (140), Emma Smith (145), and Abbi Lemke (155). The Dutch racked up 194 team points.
Head Coach Adam Hale:
“I think the Smith sisters will have some really cool moments throughout this season, and tonight was definitely one of them. It was fun getting to see and hear Isabella’s celebration with their dad, Todd, who coaches with us as Emma got the fall to make it three titles for them tonight.”
Hale says additionally, Sam TeGrootenhuis decided to join the team last week, and earned her first varsity win last night.

Pella’s Boys Wrestlers Sweep Sigourney Quad
The Pella boys wrestling team added three more dual victories to their ledger, winning against Sigourney-Keota (42-25), WACO, Wayland (57-24), and Pleasantville (61-12) at Sigourney Tuesday.
