The Pleasantville boys basketball team upset #5 ranked Madrid at home Tuesday to snap the Tigers 32 game winning streak as the girls team also won and the boys wrestling team went 2-1 at a quad hosted by Sigourney.

The Trojan boys defeated the Tigers 88-70. In the win, Braylon Bingham shined offensively with 36 points while Trindon Phipps had 22, Drake Elliot had 14, and Levi Willoughby had 11. The Pleasantville boys improve to 1-2 on the season. The Trojan girls defeated the Tigers 47-44. Taylor Perkins was the leading scorer for the Pleasantville girls with 19 points while Kylie Jolly had 14 and Liv Klootwyk had 12. The Trojan girls improve to 3-1 on the season. The Trojan boys and girls basketball teams will next compete on Friday against Van Meter.

The Pleasantville boys wrestling team went 2-1 at a quad hosted by Sigourney. The Trojan boys beat WACO 42-39, beat Sigourney 35-29 and fell to Pella 61-12. Blake Rowson went 3-0 on the night while Gage Hilgenberg, Cale Sorenson, and Tripp Miller went 2-1. The Pleasantville boys wrestling team will next compete on Saturday at Tri-County.
