The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce encourages citizens to shop local this holiday season. 

The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce helps promote and support local businesses here in the Knoxville community and with the busyness of the holiday shopping season, the chamber says supporting local businesses has many advantages. The Knoxville Chamber also recently brought back chamber bucks which can be purchased for face value at the chamber office and are essentially an all encompassing gift certificate which are good for roughly 90% of the businesses in town. Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Director Megan Bennett says supporting local allows you to have more personalized service but it is also an investment back into the community.

“Supporting local just means that the money is going to stay right here in Knoxville. Those small business owners are the ones that are typically giving back, they’re the ones that are donating to the schools and the sports teams so it’s just reinvesting into your community.”
