The Knoxville High School Athletic Hall of Fame Induction was held on Friday.

The festivities included a luncheon at Noon at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, where the new hall of fame class was honored. The hall of fame inductees spoke at the lunch, and a large number of community members, alumni, and other hall of fame members attended. The inductees were then honored in between the girls and boys varsity basketball games on Friday night. This year’s hall of fame class included Howard Elliot from the Class of 1969, Heidi Higgenbotham from the Class of 1993, Coach Joel Johnson, and the 1987 Boys Track and Field Team.
