This week’s Christmas Holiday means County and City Offices in Jasper County will be closed for different periods of time. Jasper County Offices and Newton City Offices will be closed Wednesday through Friday December 24th-26th. The Newton Public Library will be closed Wednesday through Saturday, while the Sanitary Landfill in Newton will shut its gates at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 24th and reopen on Friday, December 26th. 

Baxter City Hall is closed today through Friday, December 26th. In Colfax, City Hall will close at noon Wednesday, December 24th, and reopen on Monday, December 29th. City Hall in Monroe will close at noon tomorrow, Wednesday, December 24th, and reopen on Friday, December 26th. Prairie City’s City Hall will be closed Wednesday, Christmas Eve, and on Thursday, Christmas Day.
