The Marion County Democrats are launching Movies That Move Us, a free community film series designed to bring people together around issues that affect everyday Iowans.
The series begins January 6th at 6:00 p.m. with Inequality for All at the Knoxville Public Library. Admission and popcorn are free. Each screening is followed by an informal conversation where attendees can share concerns, reflect on how the film’s themes show up locally, and participate in open dialogue. All are welcome; the only requirement is an openness to learning and a willingness to engage in conversations for understanding.
Film series include:
- January 6th — Inequality for All (economic inequality)
- February 3rd — Before the Flood (climate change)
- March 3rd — Backpack Full of Cash (public education)
