Several Knoxville Boys Basketball Players are leading or nearly at the top of the South Central Conference. Lincoln Norris is 2nd in the conference in scoring at 21.7 points per game while Drake Larson is 5th at 17.6. Larson leads the conference and class 3A with 51 assists this season while he is 3rd in the conference with 14 steals and 5th in the SCC in field goals made with 32. Norris and Larson, both are scorching the nets in three point shooting with Norris at 47% and Larson at 45% with Norris leading the conference at 19 made three point shots. Three Panthers are in the top five in the South Central Conference in overall field goal shooting lead by Tristen Stevenson at 68%, Larson 2nd at 65% and Eli Fuller is 5th at 61% with Stevenson’s percentage good enough for 4th in the state in class 3A. Cael Cook has been hitting his free throws to a tune of 81% and that puts him 3rd overall in the South Central Conference. As a team the Panthers lead the conference in points (84.2), assists (97), field goals made (160), three pointers made (44), and three point percentage (36). Knoxville will get back on the court this Friday at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines against reigning class 3A State Champion MOC Floyd Valley. A game you can hear live on 95.3 KNIA at 4:00.
