Knoxville Community School District Superintendent Cassi Pearson is featured on today and Tuesday’s Let’s Talk Knoxville for a 2025 year in review for Knoxville Schools.

Pearson discusses success related to academic growth within the last year, reduction of chronic absenteeism, grants the district has been awarded including five large grants, community partners, staff retention, athletic and activity achievement, and a look ahead to 2026. Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS that it’s rewarding to see all of the success the district has had in the last year and they want to continue to strive to best serve families in Knoxville.

“That’s why we get into education. It’s all about kids. It’s developing kids and letting them grow and discover who they are and making sure they are learning things that are relevant to the future they want to create. It’s about supporting families in our community and working together to create opportunities and events that we can come together and feel really good about to know we are doing the best we can every single day.”

You can listen to Let’s Talk Knoxville during the 8:00 am, 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm news magazine or online at kniakrls.com.
