A busy week in the conference for Pella High baseball begins on Monday when they welcome Newton to town for two. Pella is fresh off a 6 – 0 shutout of Norwalk on Friday, and the Dutch are 5 – 0 in league play thus far. The Cardinals look to bounce back from a conference loss to Oskaloosa before the weekend. Both pitching staffs have looked fairly solid so far, with the edge clearly going to Pella. Through 11 games, the Dutch hurlers have allowed a total of just eight runs, with only half of those earned. Their ERA is a scary 0.37 this early in the season.
