A Mahaska County man who allegedly violated his parole was arrested in Pella after he was found hiding in a local business.

According to Pella Police, they received a call at approximately 11:40 a.m. Monday of a suspicious person in Deja Vu Consignments. The caller described the subject as someone who appeared to be running and hiding from someone. Four officers responded, and arrested 45-year-old David Murphy on a Mahaska County warrant. Murphy was out on parole from a prison sentence he received in 2010.
