On any level of sports, from high school to the pros, confidence is a huge asset to have for any athlete. For many teams, wanting to win, but not really knowing how to win sometimes is the difference between a good season and a season of struggles. The Twin Cedars Softball Squad struggled to win this season not because of physical talent, but Coach Zack Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his team lacked the mental confidence to close out games. He says there would be games his team would be within a run or two, then a couple of hits or errors later and the game would be out of reach. He says the last game of the season, the girls seemed to have confidence as they led a good Moravia team for six innings before falling in the regional 3-2.
