A retirement open house was held Friday afternoon for Indianola Police Chief Brian Sher, who will have his last day on Monday, September 15th.

The event celebrated Chief Sher’s 31 years of service to the department, the last three years as chief after being promoted in 2022.

Captain Rob Hawkins will assume Interim Chief duties while a search is made for a replacement.
