The Indianola defense fought hard the entire game but the offense was kept out of the endzone as Indianola fell to Valley 24-0 Friday evening as heard live on 94.3 KNIA. The Indians gave up a touchdown after a big punt return for the Tigers set them up at the 17, but held strong the rest of the first half.

The offense had multiple drives into Valley territory but dropped passes and negative plays would stall drives, as the Indians trailed 7-0 at the break. The Tigers scored on a pair of long passes in the third quarter to help shut the door, and added a field goal in the fourth as the Indianola offense ran the ball effectively but couldn’t finish any drives. Head coach Eric Kluver said he was so proud of the way his guys fought the entire game, many of whom had to play both offense and defense.

Dax Heimbaugh again had a stellar day for the Indians, rushing 27 times for 153 yards. Indianola falls to 3-2 on the season, and will host Des Moines Lincoln next Friday for Homecoming.
