A public hearing has been set for November 12th, to allow Prairie City residents to get more information about the third phase of the City’s water main replacement project and express their opinions about it. Phase two of the project on the north side of the city began in April and is still underway. Phase three is expected to go out for bid late in 2026, with construction projected to take place in 2027, pending funding from the State Revolving Loan Fund and a Community Development Block Grant. Like phase two, phase three includes some road reconstruction. 

The November 12th public hearing will begin at 6 p.m. in Prairie City’s City Hall, at 203 East Jefferson Street.
