Several KNIA/KRLS area athletes finished their season Saturday in the Class 1A state cross country meet.
Among those in the girls race were:
Ashlynn Hosbond, Colfax-Mingo – 20th
Summer Isley, Pleasantville – 36th
Amelia Latch, Pleasantville – 61st
Martensdale-St. Mary’s placed 6th as a team. Karson Oberender was 4th individually, earning All-State recognition. Maclaine German placed 16th individually, followed by Penelope Wearmouth (81st), Elizabeth Moore (107th), and Isabella Gonzalez (124th).
Lynnville-Sully placed 15th as a team. Emma Parkinson placed 34th, followed by Mandeesa Vos (83rd), Breah Lowry (118th), Peyton Sharp (127th), and Isabelle Vos (135th).
Boys individuals include:
Sully Wilkins, Colfax-Mingo – 37th
Isaiah Wheeldon, Martensdale-St. Mary’s – 38th
The Hawks brought a boys team to Fort Dodge as well, placing 10th. Colton Alberts earned first team All-State honors, placing 10th individually. Blake Wilmesmeier (20th), Madden Gunsaulus (98th), Sam Terlouw (105th), and Ethan Dunsbergen (123rd) rounded out the team score.
