The Pella City Council is holding two public hearings related to an extension of the Fountain Hills development at today’s meeting, which was moved up a day due to Tuesday’s election. The hearings are for an urban renewal plan and development agreement related to 47 new buildable lots for single family homes and tax increment financing to pay for infrastructure. The council will also consider a consulting services agreement related to a stormwater management program study, a final plat for Prairie Ridge West, and an offsite easement at that site. Two ordinances are on the agenda, amending solid waste fees and Pella Fiber rates. If both are approved, reduced vacation rates will be removed due to challenges the city has had in accurately billing those customers. A proposed camping ordinance will be discussed during policy and planning following regular business. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6:00 this evening in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
