The Norwalk boys and girls bowling teams both lost close decisions against Bondurant-Farrar in Monday’s season opener at Great Escape. The Bluejays won the boys dual by 89 total pins, 2904-2815, and took the girls dual by only 68 pins, 1879-1811.

The Warrior boys were led by Brytan Bassman’s two-game series of 431 and Blake Halsted’s 425. Freshman Rhett Thatcher was next in line with a 370. Halsted rolled the team’s highest individual game with a 223, Bassman had a 218 and Tanner Housley added a 201.

The Warrior girls finished with two of the top three individual series scores in defeat. Freshman Baylee Baldwin paced the team with a 338 series and a high game of 179. Freshman Juliana Johnson tallied a 257 and sophomore Eva Smith had a 240.

Norwalk’s next dual will be Monday, December 1, when they face Urbandale at Gameday Lanes.
