
The seventh ranked Simpson softball team will welcome Nebraska Wesleyan to town for Senior Day and look to keep their five-game win streak alive. The Storm come off two blowout wins Tuesday with victories over Buena Vista 12-1 and 18-0. In those two games, Simpson allowed just three hits combined and Ashlyn Steen printed her name in the record books by stealing five more bases and breaking the single season record for most steals, now sitting at 38 on the year. The Storm come into the weekend with the highest batting average and lowest earned run average in the American Rivers Conference. Simpson is currently 28-5 and 11-3 in the conference.
Nebraska Wesleyan comes into the doubleheader with a pair of losses Friday at Coe College, 2-1 and 11-2. The Prairie Wolves are led by Senior Jenna Kimberling who is hitting .388 on the season and is one of three everyday starters hitting over .300. Nebraska Wesleyan comes into the day 5-7 in the conference and 14-19 overall.
