Multiple days with possible summer-like heat may also fuel several chances of severe weather through Monday. According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, south central Iowa may be in line for strong thunderstorms every day through early Tuesday morning. All hazards are possible, but large hail and damaging winds are the primary threats throughout the weekend. Those with outdoor plans will want ways to receive warnings immediately. Additionally, if multiple thunderstorms do impact the area, localized flooding could be possible by early next week. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team will have live, on-air coverage of severe thunderstorms impacting Pella, Knoxville, Indianola, and Newton, and any tornado warnings in Marion, Warren, and Jasper Counties.
