Pope Benedict XVI has named Reverend Monsignor Robert D. Gruss, a former parochial vicar in Marion County as Bishop of the Diocese of Rapid City in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Bishop-Designate Gruss served the congregations of St. Anthony Church in Knoxville, St. Mary Church in Pella, Sacred Heart Church in Melcher and also served as pastor of St. Mary Church.
