During the week of January 15, 2012 to January 21, 2012, the Pella Police Department received
110 calls for service, issued 32 citations, 46 warnings, 8 parking tickets and arrested 3 people
resulting in 7 charges.

COMMUNICATION CENTER WEEKLY STATS

During the week of January 15, 2012 to January 21, 2012, the communications center fielded
286 telephone calls, assisted 57 people at the window, and fielded 37 incoming calls on the 911
system.

ARRESTS
• On 01/15/12 Jamie L. Clinkenbeard, 25, of Pella was charged with two counts of
trespass, public intoxication, domestic assault causing bodily injury, and serious assault.
Jamie was incarcerated for the night.
• On 01/15/12 Christopher S. Valster, 23, of Pella was charged with witness tampering.
Chris was incarcerated for the night.
• On 01/21/12 Franz P. Wind IV, 49, of Pella was charged with operating while
intoxicated. Franz was incarcerated for the night.

TRAINING

On January 19, 2012 Lt. Cox attended a Pursuit Policy Workshop, lead by the Iowa Law
Enforcement Academy, at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. The workshop
addressed law enforcement vehicular pursuit policy issues, including factors to consider
when initiating, conducting and terminating a vehicular pursuit.
