Brad Sweet, the former World of Outlaws Champion and now co-owner of the High Limit Racing Series, and semi-retired driver showed he still has it after leading all 25 laps and winning by over two seconds in Friday night’s Premier Chevy Dealers Clash with the World of Outlaws Nos Energy Drink Sprint Cars heard live on KNIA. Sweet started on the pole and gapped the field hitting lapped traffic around the midway point of the race that went green the entire distance. David Gravel never let Sweet out of his sight by always hitting lapped traffic at the wrong time. Sweet said in victory lane the car he drove was piloted by Kyle Larson the last few seasons and did not want to let Paul Silva and the rest of the team down.

Sweet : “Paul and Trevor, they work so hard, and Kyle has had so much success, I didn’t want to be the weak link. They felt better and better. It felt like I was glued to the track.”

Gravel settled for 2nd and reigning Knoxville Nationals Winner Ryan Timms claimed 3rd place. Tonight is night two of the Premier Chevy Dealers Clash with hot laps starting at around 6:30. KNIA will have live coverage starting with Live Track Side at 5:00 and Race Nights Live at 7:00.
