Five PCM varsity athletic teams were in action Monday.

The PCM girls golf team placed second at a quad hosted by Pleasantville at Pleasantville Golf and Country Club that also featured Pella and Knoxville. The Mustang girls shot 209 as a team at the nine-hole event. The top individual score for PCM was Annie Ford who shot a 46 to finish fifth overall. The PCM girls golf team will next compete today at West Marshall.

The PCM soccer team was on the road at Knoxville where the match ended in a 1-1 draw. PCM’s goal came from Dylan Beyer in the match. The Mustang soccer team moves to 2-4-1 on the year and will next compete on Thursday at Central Iowa United.

The PCM boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Van Meter Coed Relays. The PCM boys finished second with 109.5 team points competing against 11 other schools. Top individual finishers for the Mustang boys include Coby DeRaad and Kash Fischer taking second and third in the 800 meter, Dane Fraker finishing third in the 400 meter, Owen Osterhaus placing third in the 3200 meter, Alex Wendt taking third in the discus, Hayden Shannon placing third in the shot put, and the 4X200 and 4X400 meter relays taking second.

The PCM girls finished third as a team with 96.5 team points competing against 13 other schools. Top finishers for the Mustang girls include Jorja Teeter winning the 400 hurdles, the 4X800 meter relay taking first, Lexi Fagg taking second in the long jump, Abi Teeter placing third in the 1500 meter, and Ryan DeVore finishing third in the 200 meter.
