The Pella Boys Golf team is heading back to the state tournament next week. The Dutch won the district meet site at Bos Landen on Tuesday with a team score of 310. KJ Besick was the meet medalist with an even-par 72, and the scores of Cole Floden (74), Landon Reynolds (80), and Tate Lauman (84) rounded out the card. The #12 ranked Pella girls soccer team traveled to DCG for the last LHC conference game of the season, falling 2-0. Head Coach Scott Treft says the Dutch created a few good opportunities in a scoreless first half. DCG continued to get numbers forward and control the tempo in a physical match eventually finding a loose ball in front of goal and put it away for the 1-0 lead with 30 minutes remaining. Just ten minutes later, they would notch a second loose ball in front of goal to make the score 2-0. Pella will play host on Thursday against 3A #15 Des Moines Roosevelt. Varsity kickoff is set for 7:00.
