
The Pella boys golf team captured the second leg of the 2026 Little Hawkeye Conference four-meet race, building its lead. The Dutch blazed through Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa with a 302 team score, now building their advantage to 31 strokes with a two-meet combined total of 617. KJ Besick carded a 71 and Cole Floden had a 73 on Tuesday’s 18-hole trek. Pella is next in action Thursday at Grinnell.
Pella’s boys tennis team quickly swept Oskaloosa on Tuesday. The Dutch didn’t drop a set in an 11-0 win. Singles victories included Trevin Sutton, Ryker Jones, Brayden Van Horn, Corbin Van Dyke, Malik Fisher, and Hayden Johnson. Pella returns for a makeup on Thursday with Norwalk.
The #10 in 2A Pella High girls soccer team traveled to #2 ranked Norwalk for their second conference game of the season, but fell 3-0 after a second half flurry by the hosting Warriors. Head Coach Scott Treft says his Dutch created a few offensive chances in the first half, while also holding Norwalk to a scoreless. With the score 0-0, Norwalk was rewarded a penalty kick on the second foul of the game by the Dutch and take a 1-0 lead. In the next few minutes Norwalk would tack on a second and third goal to take a 3-0 advantage. Pella gets the rest of the week to recover and will take on Pella Christian at home next week Tuesday, where it is Rush Youth Soccer night.
Pella’s newly-ranked #10 in 3A boys soccer team fell to #9 Norwalk at home on Tuesday by a 6-0 score. The Dutch will next host their home invitational this Saturday with ADM and Fort Madison.
With several of their Drake Relays qualifiers out of the lineup, a contingent of Pella boys track and field athletes traveled to Ottumwa and the Don Newell Classic on Tuesday. Pella’s boys placed 2nd in the team standings with 116 points. Event winners included:
