A program on the tradition of converting feed sacks into quilts and other hand-sewn goods will be featured next week at the Pella Public Library. Wendy Zohrer, a member of the American Association of State and Local History and an expert on feed sack quilts will have some of her own family heirlooms on display, and share how quilts can tell a family’s story. Zohrer will come to the event dressed as a typical farmwoman in the 1930s.Those interested are encouraged to bring their own family quilts to the Pella Public Library on the night of the program, which is Tuesday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m.
