After ending their regular season on Friday night with a loss to North Polk, giving them a 16-12 record on the season, the PCM Mustang softball team made a five game improvement with new head coach Scott Bridges over last year’s 11-17 tally.
Despite losing senior first baseman and pitcher Chelbie Gillespie early on in the season, the senior class for the Mustangs has been stellar. Kayla Jennings in the circle ended with a 12-8 record and batted .429 at the plate, while Jayci Vos led the team offensively hitting .490. The Mustangs season isn’t quite done yet, as they will take on Chariton this Wednesday in Monroe to start their postseason journey.
