The Marion County Change Coalition or MC3 held their most recent meeting Tuesday at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. Representatives from ISU Extension, Thrive Knoxville, Knoxville Wellness Committee, Suicide Prevention, Marion County Public Health, Support Our Next Generation, Pella Youth Coalition, The KHC Health Coach, Your Life Matters and Pleasantville Youth Initiative all took turns updating the coalition on their different projects and programs. Ginny Krichau with Coalition explained to the group the purpose of the meeting was to share what each group is doing in the county, what they can provide to other groups and to help network with each other to help grow positive change in Marion County. The mission of the Marion County Change Coalition is to create a united voice to advocate and implement change for individuals and families with mental health and substance abuse needs in Marion County.
