Senator Joni Ernst was in Knoxville Saturday as part of her 99-county tour.  Ernst met with local business owners to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on local businesses and the residents of Knoxville. Ernst tells KNIA/KRLS News that in regards to a future stimulus package, much is still undecided. She says there’s a possibility that not everyone who received the first payment will receive another one, and that factors such as returning to work may be considered. The next round of payments is likely to be based on needs of the individual, rather than a blanket approach.

Senator Ernst’s stops included Baggio’s Italian Restaurant, Peace Tree Brewing Company, Coffee Connection,  A&P Pub and The Grand Theatre.
