The Pella City Council will consider three resolutions during regular business this evening relating to two upcoming projects.

Consideration of opening bids and scheduling public hearings for the indoor recreation center proposal and for renovation for what is being called the City of Pella Annex building project are both on the agenda. The renovation of the 215 Main Street building is projected to cost just under $1.5 million.

The council will also review a proposal for a $500,000 Community Attraction and Tourism grant agreement with Iowa Economic Development Authority.

Prior to regular business, Mayor Don DeWaard is appointing several residents to new committees, including a pair related to the upcoming Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code update process, and for a new Neighborhood Revitalization Grant Committee.

A closed session is also on the agenda relating to either ongoing or incoming litigation. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6:00 this evening in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
