
The Pella City Council approved all related items to four public hearings at their meeting on Tuesday. This included a contract with Eagle Electric for $398,200 for West Generation Plant Control Upgrades, a contract with Pirc-Tobin for an airport water main expansion, as well as the first reading of rezoning applications for Central College changing some land from institutional to high-density residential and another for properties owned by Marc Vande Noord. The council also amended Pella Community Ambulance fees, including a $150 non-resident fee. During policy and planning, the council held discussion about a proposed Urban Renewal Plan for Central College, outside agency funding requests, and property tax updates related to legislation signed by Governor Kim Reynolds this week.
