The Central College men’s tennis team started a busy week strong with a 7-0 victory over Buena Vista University Wednesday.

Central (4-15, 3-3 ARC) blanked Buena Vista for the sixth time in seven years. The Dutch got wins from the only seniors on the roster. Quin Hull was victorious 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 singles while his twin Trey Hull played No. 3 doubles with Donovan Klish and won 7-5. In the other doubles matches, Bodi Kortz and Alex Slaymaker won 6-3 at No. 1 and Ernest Alvarez Chedzoy and Gavin Jablonski won 6-3 in the No. 2 spot. Kortz won 6-1, 6-1 in No. 1 singles. Slaymaker won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 as did Gavin Jablonski at No. 4. Chedzoy won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3, while Francisco Molina Centeno closed out the shutout by winning 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5.

Central hosts Loras College at 4 pm Friday and the University of Dubuque at 10 am on Saturday.
