Boys Track 3rd, Girls 5th At PCM

The Knoxville Boys Track and Field Squad placed 3rd while the girls placed 5th at PCM on Monday. The boys had three five 1st place showings with Karsen Caster winning the 110 high hurdles in :16.55, Kyler Gifford took 1st in the 200 with a time of :24.06 and Isaac Rankin won the 1600 with a time of 4:41.49. Also winning were the 4×100 and distance medley relay teams. The girls got a win from Avery Pelong in the shot put with a toss of 33 feet eight inches. The Panthers also got two 2nd place results from Mary Visser in the 100 and Siena Scott in the 100 hurdles while Visser got a 3rd place in the 200 along with Abbie Keitges in the 400 hurdles and Jayde Kreimeyer in the discus. The boys will return to PCM on Thursday while the girls next meet will be next at the South Central Conference Meet in Clarke.

Kearney’s PK Give Knoxville Girls Soccer Win Over Chariton

The Knoxville Girls Soccer Squad got a win over Chariton on Monday 1-0 at Randy Wilson mTrack. A penalty kick by Payton Kearney with 22:50 left in the 1st half was all Knoxville needed as the Panthers controlled possession for the most part of the game. Knoxville is now 3-4-3 and remains unbeaten in conference play at 2-0-1. The Panthers are off until Friday when they travel to Atlantic.

Knoxville Boys Soccer Blanks Newton

The Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad came away from Newton with a 2-0 win over the Cardinals. The Panthers got both goals in the second half as Cael Cook and Tommy Buttell recorded scores. The Panthers are 4-3-2 and will host Albia tonight.

Knoxville Boys Tennis Falls To Grinnell

The Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad lost to Grinnell on Monday 9-0. Coach Kevin Wadle told KNIA/KRLS Sports it was the toughest meet of the season. #6 singles player McKale Clark had the closest match with an 8-6 loss.
