Coming off a state title in 2025 the Pleasantville baseball team will start their quest to repeat the feat on Monday as they open their season against Gilbert.

The Trojans ended last season by claiming a Class 2A state baseball title after defeating Unity Christian in the state championship game in Carroll, finishing the year 33-1 overall. Pleasantville has high expectations coming into this year as they return every player from last year’s team including a pitching staff that was one of the best in the state a year ago. The Trojans also return an offensive lineup that includes five players who batted over .350 last season while playing in every game. Pleasantville will be under the direction of second year head coach Luke Adreon and will take on a Gilbert squad Monday night who finished 15-15 overall a year ago. Monday’s contest in Pleasantville will start at 7:00 pm.
