Three Pleasantville varsity athletic teams will be in action today.
The Pleasantville girls track and field team will compete at the Norseman Relays hosted by Roland-Story that will feature 12 total teams. The Trojan girls last competed on Monday at Van Meter where they finished fifth as a team. At Monday’s meet the distance medley broke the school record and is currently sitting second in Class 2A. Today’s meet starts at 4:30 pm.
The Trojan boys and girls golf teams will compete at a triangular hosted by Van Meter at Lakeview Country Club in Winterset that will feature Van Meter and Des Moines Christian. The girls are coming off a third place finish at a home quad on Monday and the boys are coming off a first place finish at the Mohawk Classic hosted by Moravia last Thursday. Today’s triangular starts at 4:00 pm.
