The Great Western Trail is a bike trail that ranges from Martensdale to West Des Moines and the Warren County Board of Supervisors have approved matching partial funds for the trail at their regular meeting earlier this week. Warren County Board of Supervisors Chairmen, Brian Arnold says the work on the trail is partially completed, but there’s still a considerable amount of work to be done.
“There’s a portion of it that’s being redone now, but there’s still a large portion of it being done now. This was actually an investment matching type situation where the conservation department has investors that will match funds.”
