
The Indianola FFA Chapter sent 35 students to the two-day state convention earlier this week with a handful of students who were recognized with different honors, and participated in a variety of different competitions.
The Chapter Display Team who earned a gold rating and placed fifth out of 145 teams. Gabe Gibson participated in the public speaking contest and received a Silver rating. Gibson was also elected to the office of State Vice President to represent the South Central District. Allison Moser was selected for and participated in the State Band. Darrack Clingman, Austin Ware and Liam McWilliams participated in the Farm Business Management Contest and earned a Silver rating. Adelia Hayes and Lucy Howe took the Greenhand Test, and Josie Edgington and Julia Larson took the Chapter Test. Bria Boell, Jensyn McKasson, Mary Huffer, and Parker Kaufman all received their Iowa degrees at the State Convention.
