The Indianola boys and girls track and field teams are set to host the Class 4A State Qualifying Meet at Indianola Stadium tonight. Both teams have won multiple meets this season and aim to send as many athletes as possible to next week’s State Track and Field Meet at Drake Stadium.
The Indians boys squad has nine individuals and relays that are currently in the top-two spots among those competing including:
- 400 meter dash – Parker Amos
- 800 meter run – Reed Robbins
- 1600 meter run – Kiefer Barnes
- 3200 meter run – Kiefer Barnes
- 400 meter hurdles – Easton McGraw
- High Jump – Easton McGraw
- 4×400 meter relay
- 800 meter medley relay
- 1600 meter medley relay
The Indianola girls have eight individuals and relays that are currently in the top-two spots among those competing including:
- 400 meter dash – Emma White
- 400 meter hurdles – Madison Grover
- Long Jump – Madison Grover
- Shot Put – Sam Gripp
- Discus – Sam Gripp
- 4×400 meter relay
- 800 meter medley relay
- 1600 meter medley relay
The Class 4A 2026 state qualifying meets at Indianola High School begin today at 4 p.m.
