To recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, Warren County Dispatch sat down with KNIA News to discuss what happens in the Warren County Dispatch Center on a day-to-day basis. Warren County Dispatcher Kris Decker says no two days will ever be the same, and that some situations can get very difficult.
“Well it’s kind of a double-edged sword. I think you get something everyday, and help the community everyday. Also not knowing what’s on the other end of the phone when you pick it up, even if an officer is in distress. Sick or injured children can be tough too.”
